LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shadow Ace performed his final act for this season of 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' alongside Penn State wrestling veteran David Morris Taylor, aka The Magic Man.

Even though Shadow Ace is a former 'America's Got Talent' semifinalist who, according to NBC, "has taken the art of shadow puppetry to new heights," viewers were left unsatisfied and generally bewildered by his performance with the Olympian on February 19.

On Monday's 'AGT: Fantasy League' finals, the two worked together and delivered an act.

Attractions include: A puppet "pumping iron" set to Survivor's 'Eye of the Tiger', Shadow Ace pretending to be a puppy singing Queen's 'We Will Rock You' to David, and the intro set to the Surfaris' 'Wipeout'.

Fans took to Facebook to share their disappointment following the performance as they wrote, "Still can't stand this act." Another user chimed in, "I don't find his act entertaining at all."

One user further wrote, "I don’t see the point of his act, can’t stand the stupidity." A fourth user feels, "Hurricane was way more entertaining."

Speaking of David's participation, fans felt, "Honestly that guy looked like he didn’t wanna be up there."

Who is David Taylor?

David is a well-known American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who mostly competes in the 86-kilogram weight class. His finest success came in 2021 when he won the Olympic gold medal over Hassan Yazdani, the reigning Olympic and world champion.

This astounding achievement mirrors his success at the 2018 World Championship, where he also won the crown.

David's freestyle wrestling career began in April 2010, when he won the University US National Championship. In 2012, he competed in the US Olympic Team Trials, finishing 3-2.

David finished second at the 2021 World Championships, just missing out on first place after facing Hassan again. However, he bounced back at the 2022 World Championships, avenging his earlier loss to Hassan and reclaiming his world championship crown.

David, as an Olympic medalist, was allowed the opportunity to represent the United States in the 2021 World Championships, bypassing the necessity for local competition to secure a berth on the US World Team.

In addition to his wrestling abilities, David is affiliated with Adidas. In 2015, they collaborated to produce a brand of wrestling gear named "M2," a reference to David's collegiate moniker, "Magic Man."

This nickname was conferred on him during a collegiate match in which he cleverly used a difficult scenario to his advantage. The M2 collection started with wrestling shoes and has now extended to encompass clothes, posters, and Adidas-sponsored events.

Who is AGT's Shadow Ace?

Shadow Ace, actually named Phillip Jose P Galit, got his start while growing up in a small town in the Philippines. His family did not have power, so he occupied himself by constructing shadow puppets on the wall using candlelight.

"My parents sell vegetables in the market," he remarked, recalling his humble origins.

The activity rapidly became his "happiness," and he honed his skills by doing performances that combined music, humor, and, of course, shadow puppets.

With his parents' constant backing, Shadow Ace initially presented his act to 'AGT' Season 18, where he advanced to the Semifinals. He was later picked as a member of Judge Howie Mandel's Dream Team for 'AGT: Fantasy League'.

Shadow Ace's distinct combination of hilarity, shadows, and light soon won many fans. He was one of only two acts chosen for the 'AGT: Fantasy League' Finals by public vote.
