Are Alex and Ashley still together? ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 couple’s awkward family dinner sparks trouble
Drama is at an all-time high on Netflix's 'Love Is Blind' Season 10, and we're hooked. After their romantic getaway to Mexico, the engaged couples seemed to be growing closer every day. But things quickly took a sharp turn for Ashley Carpenter and Alex Henderson. Their relationship hit a rough patch during the trip itself, and Alex’s first meeting with Ashley’s father, Paul, was far from smooth. The former soccer player's meeting with Paul can best be described as tense and uncomfortable. "That was a wild conversation for me," Alex said, explaining that past meetings with partners' parents were usually welcoming, but this felt different.
He added, "I didn't feel like it was there. There were a number of moments that felt potentially premeditated against me." Notably, Ashley’s father was in true detective mode as he questioned Alex about his past relationships, future plans, intentions with Ashley, Trump, and more. Alex admitted the pressure was overwhelming as he said, "You're coming at me pretty heavily in that moment," adding that he struggled to balance answering tough questions while wondering if this man could become his future father-in-law.

As soon as the episode dropped, fans flocked to X to share their opinions about the drama-filled meeting, as one wrote, "I would consider Ashley’s Dad to be overbearing and dare I say, annoying in most circumstances. BUT , it’s what it’s what Alex deserves & Daddy sees right through his a**!!" Another shared, "Me watching this conversation between Ashley’s dad and Alex trying to figure out who’s more annoying, unlikable and insufferable," while a fan added, "Ashley's dad asking like 100 questions is killing me he is not playing about his daughter!!" While trying to plan their future after Mexico, which included where to live, Alex and Ashley's physical connection began to fade. Back in Ohio, it became clear they weren't on the same page, and small disagreements turned into bigger problems.
Things started to go downhill for Alex and Ashley as, despite the couple's oozing chemistry in Ohio, their relationship started to change, especially when it came to intimacy. Alex admitted that while he was attracted to Ashley, Brittany Wicker fit his usual physical type more closely. In Mexico, he and Brittany even had a private conversation about the lack of intimacy in their relationships, which came across as flirtatious to viewers. "Does it look like flirting? "Yes," Alex said, adding, "But when I go back and talk to Ashley later, in my head, it wasn't flirting."
He maintained that the conversation was platonic and noted that he is friends with Brittany’s fiancé, Devo Anderson. Alex was also clear about his physical preferences, saying of Brittany, "Is she closer to my original physical type? Yes. Am I attracted to her like that right now? No." He then added that going on the show was meant to challenge those preferences, "I'm very open about liking Latina women who are fit with brown eyes and tan skin. I’m well aware. This is Love Is Blind, so my whole purpose of going on this was to see if I could get past that."
