Spoilers for 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 7 Episode 8 'After, Before'

'Agents of SHIELD' Season 7 is nearing the end of its run but before that happens, it looks like everyone's getting an upgrade. Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) now has powers that are growing by the day and in Episode 8 'After, Before', Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) gets a major boost that's been a long time coming.

After confronting the mental blocks that have been preventing her from using her powers all season, Yo-Yo finally gets her powers back in Episode 8. Plus, she no longer has to snap back to her starting point anymore and the fans on the episode's Reddit discussion page are having a field day with this development with one fan declaring, "YO-YO IS JUST YO NOW."

A lot of other fans have also repeated the same joke. And now that Yo-Yo is a full speedster, some fans are speculating that she might travel back in time and save the day like DC's Flash, causing the MCU version of 'Flashpoint'. "I wonder if the endgame is that she just runs back into time and fu**s up the timeline," one fan theorized while another wrote, "YO-YO UNTETHERED! Since she's just a speedster now maybe she can fu*k the timeline back to normal."

However, not everyone is happy with this development. It appears some fans liked the fact that Yo-Yo was unique in the world of speedsters and others didn't particularly like the vague explanation given for why she no longer has to bounce back. "I’m gonna miss Yo-yo’s little quirk. It kinda made her stand out, now she’s just any regular speedster," one fan commented. Another fan wrote, "I'm kind of meh on the 'I guess I've always been able to do it' explanation for Yo-yo's power no longer requiring her to snap back. Powers evolve in comics and stuff all the time, though, so it's not really a major issue anyway."

Ultimately, it was a great episode with a lot of scenes featuring May and Yo-Yo's brilliant chemistry. "Those May and Yo-Yo moments were gold. Both the funny ones and the emotional ones," a fan declared. 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 7 airs Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on ABC.
