Adele gets trolled for canceling Vegas shows but singing live for BRIT Awards
Adele's performance at the Brit Awards 2022 was enthralling, but many fans had some criticism for her. The 33-year-old, who won three awards at the event, walked to the stage to deliver a breathtaking performance of ‘I Drink Wine’, a song from her fourth studio album '30'. While Adele put on a fantastic performance, many fans were quick to criticize her choice to abandon her Las Vegas residency.
As one Twitter user put it, "Brilliant singer. Incredible talent. Was there really nothing she could do for those people who’d spent thousands to go to Vegas?" "At least all those people that paid thousands to watch Adele perform in Vegas can watch her perform at the #BRITS instead," another added. "I wonder if they're showing this Adele #brits performance in Vegas?" another person joked. “So Adele can’t manage her concerts in Vegas, which by the way cost the earth. But she can turn up to the Brits where she’s won awards and is basically headlining the show,” yet another person remarked.

Adele received the ‘Artist of the Year’ award in addition to the ‘Mastercard Album of the Year’ and 'Song of the Year' awards for ‘Easy on Me’. Ed Sheeran ( Best Songwriter), Dua Lipa (Best Pop/R&B act) and Billie Eilish (Best International Artist) were also awarded under various categories at BRIT Award 2022. Adele's acceptance speech for 'Artist of the Year' was momentarily muted by Brits bosses when she paid respect to her fellow candidate, rapper Little Simz, in classic Adele style. Adele said, “I want to say a massive congratulations to Little Simz.” “I've got too much love for you I think you're absolutely…” she continued before the audio cut off. After that, the singer went on to say, “I genuinely love being an artist. I can't believe it's my job.”

All she needs is someone playing the piano and the voice can do the rest.

Too soon?
Adele announced the cancelation of her Vegas performances in a heartbreaking video on Instagram last month. She stated, "I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready. We've tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid. Half my crew, half my team, are down with Covid, they still are. It's been impossible to finish the show. I can't give you what I have right now and I'm gutted. I'm sorry it's so last minute."
