Adam Sandler is the most 'down to earth' family man in Hollywood despite earning millions from movies
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Adam Sandler is a big name in Hollywood, who has served numerous unforgettable roles in tons of films over the years. As per reports, the ‘50 First Dates’ star began his career with standups in New England when he was just 17. But later, he moved to New York City and joined the Tisch School of the Arts.
Sandler’s first onscreen role was in 1987 when he appeared in season four of ‘The Cosby Show’. After which, there was no stopping for him as he then went on to work as a writer and performer on MTV's ‘Remote Control’. He also showcased his talent on ‘Saturday Night Live’ from 1990 to 1995 before making his name in films, like ‘Coneheads,’ ‘Mixed Nuts,’ and ‘Airheads’.

‘He’s one of the most down-to-earth individuals’
With time, ‘The Wedding Singer’ actor not just earned a name but also made money in the business. However, he never kept his focus on high-end fashion and making a style statement. Besides that, Sandler is also known for humbleness and charities. The 56-year-old actor reportedly once made a $1 million donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester, New Hampshire.
Ken Miyamoto, a screenwriter, reportedly shared, “For a guy that can command $20 million per picture and has been doing so since the '90s, he's one of the most down-to-earth individuals in that position that I've ever come across.”
Actor Barry Livingston also stated, “I can tell you that there isn’t an ounce of pretension or bullsh*t in him. If he saw a production assistant hunting for a place to sit at lunch, he’d make room for him at his table. If he was lighting up an expensive Havana cigar and saw you watching him, he’d offer you one.”
Apart from being a good human being, Sandler is known for his closeness to his family. The producer bought a three-bathroom and three bedrooms condo for $640,000 for his mother in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1991. He even took his mother for a special screening of the movie ‘Hustle’ at the Philadelphia Film Center in Pennsylvania.
‘Kids give me the most joy’
However, the ‘Just Go with It’ star is not only a good son but, he is also a great husband and a father too. In 2014, HuffPost stated that he tries to eat lunch with his daughters — Sadie Sandler and Sunny Sandler. He said at the time, “The best thing about my kids' school is you can show up any day you want and have lunch with your kids. But you better show up with an In-N-Out burger.”
The actor also revealed that his “kids give me the most joy, but there are life adjustments. I don't go out to meet anyone after 9:30 at night. I eat dinner at 6 or 7. If someone makes me stay out until 10:30 at night, I'm angry the entire next day because I'm exhausted.”
“I'm a worrier. I've learned in life now that when your kid is upset you're rocked until they're not upset anymore. Even when they're not upset, you're rocked. You're always nervous because you want your kid to be happy. Now, I understand why my folks were always saying, 'Be nice and be safe. Make sure everyone in the family is OK. That's the most important thing.' Making sure everyone in the family is OK is the most important thing. If the family hurts then you hurt,” Sandler added at the time.
