ACM Awards 2020: Kelsea Ballerini nails it with 'Hole in the Bottle', fans say it's 'everything 2020 needs'

Country pop superstar Kelsea Ballerini took the stage at the 55th American Country Music Awards to perform songs from her 2020 hit album 'Kelsea'. Making an official announcement of the start of the performance, the ACM Awards, through its Twitter handle, wrote, "Kelsea Ballerini gracing the #MotherChurch with her acoustic rendition of #HoleInTheBottle will have you on your feet! #ACMawards."

CBS also wrote, "Kelsea Ballerini brings some sparkle to @theryman with her #ACMawards performance. Watch now on CBS."

Kelsea's song 'Hole in the Bottle', released as the third single from her album 'Kelsea' and became a top 30 hit on the US Hot Country Songs. Talking about her own performance, Kelsea tweeted, "Well that was a fun one. CHEERA YALL." 



 



 



 

Fans of the country star quickly logged onto Twitter to express their happiness about the performance. "KELSEY BALLERINI WAS LOOKIN SMOKIN HOT IN THAT OUTFIT and that voice," said a fan, while another posted, "Kelsea Ballerini doing Hole in The Bottle IS EVERYTHING 2020 needs!!!!" One fan, talking about the 'Hole in the Bottle' performance, tweeted, "cheers to you & your beautiful performance Kelsea Ballerini. Hope you know how loved you are always. Forever proud of you!! (hope u like this too)." Another fan, talking about Kelsea's singing, said, "Wow @KelseaBallerini sang so good and she look so beautiful tonight #CMAawards."



 



 



 



 

Those watching the 2020 ACMs thoroughly enjoyed the performance by Kelsea as one user tweeted, "@KelseaBallerini tweeting might be my favorite part or the entire night.... #ACMs" while another, talking about the female performers at the event, said, "Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, Carrie Underwood and all the women in country music made a huge statement tonight. Fans of Taylor Swift, who also performed at the event, and Kelsea tweeted about wanting to see the two stars collaborate. One user wrote, "Seeing Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift perform at the same award show makes my heart so full," while another simply said, "Hey @KelseaBallerini I loved your performance."



 



 

Kelsea Ballerini released two albums in 2020 titled 'Kelsea' and 'Ballerini'. 'Ballerini', the stripped-down version of 'Kelsea', is full of heartwarming, calm acoustic tracks whereas 'Kelsea' is more pop-sounding and upbeat. She was nominated in the Female Artist of the Year category but lost to Maren Morris.
