As the world struggles with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which brings a fresh supply of stress every day, we all need an escape, and what’s better than tuning into some breathtaking performances and a fully packed hour of entertainment? Let’s face it, we all need an escape now more than ever and Country Music Awards could be that stress buster. Billed as Country Music's Party of the Year, the ACM Awards is an annual celebration of the brightest stars and most awe-inspiring achievements within the genre. After a five-month delay due to the pandemic, the Academy of Country Music Awards was held on September 16, 2020, live from Nashville, Tennessee.

The event, hosted by first-time host Keith Urban, had an impressive line-up of performers to celebrate country music's special night including Kane Brown, who shared a powerful message with his performance at the 2020 ACM Awards. Brown performed his unifying single ‘Worldwide Beautiful’ from his latest EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, live from the Grand Ole Opry House stage. ‘Worldwide Beautiful’ is a perfectly fitting song for the current times that we live in, where we need nothing more than to remain unified. Before his breathtaking performance, Brown said, "I just want everybody to love everybody."

As soon as the musician took to the stage at the ACM Awards, his fans began pouring in love on Twitter for Brown's performance, calling it "powerful". One user tweeted, "This is awesome, @kanebrown! such a powerful song and love the configuration of the backup singers!" Another user wrote, "Anyone watched Kane Brown preform at the CMA? Wow. Awesome song. Worth checking out!"

Another user moved by the singer's performance tweeted, "Kane Browns song just brought tears to my eyes. What a good and powerful song #ACMawards." One person wrote, "Kane Brown's Worldwide Beautiful is a song for this moment. The music of great musicians has power in ways that few other things do. Peace Friends. Love too."

One user wrote, "Kane brown’s performance has been my favorite so far," while another one tweeted, "Kane Brown's performance was really moving. Wasn't expecting the choir in the balcony. #ACMs."

Another one tweeted, "Kane Brown has gotten inexplicably snubbed by many awards shows, but I like that he got this opportunity to share a song and message that are so clearly important to him. #ACMAwards." One said, "Performance of the night goes to my dude @kanebrown You're missing every color if you're only seeing black and white... We ain't that different from each other."

Speaking about his performance, Brown had earlier said, “I am so excited to play the ACMs and share such a powerful message to the community that we all need to come together as one. And, be a family and everybody love everybody. That’s what Worldwide Beautiful is and what it means and I cannot wait to play it for you guys.”

Other performers on the ACM award show include Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Riley Green, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi, and Tenille Townes, who will perform at the Ryman. Jimmie Allen, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert featuring songwriters Natalie Hemby and Luke Dick, and Tim McGraw will perform at The Bluebird and Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Mickey Guyton, Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen will perform from the Opry.

The 55th Annual ACM Awards aired live from three iconic country music venues including Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe. The award ceremony broadcasted on Wednesday, September 16, live from 8 pm to 11 pm on CBS Television Network. It can also be streamed on-demand on CBS All Access. The ACM Awards were originally scheduled to broadcast live from Las Vegas at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 5 but due to the ongoing pandemic, the Academy of Country Music decided to postpone the ceremony.
