2020 ACM Awards nominations are out and Justin Bieber has been nominated four times

The Beebs makes the country music cut courtesy of '10,000 Hours' his smash hit collaboration with Dan and Shay, the chart-topping country music duo

The Academy of Country Music recently released the list of nominees for the 55th ACM Awards on Thursday, February 27. There are plenty of familiar and expected names on the list, but one name that stood out was the reigning prince of pop, Justin Bieber or "R&Bieber," as he now refers to himself to embrace his new musical genre. Looks he might need to add "Country" to his new moniker as well soon!

Bieber received four nominations in total for his collaboration with country music sensations Dan + Shay on their smash crossover hit '10,000 Hours.' The magnificent threesome were nominated for Song of the Year (as both songwriters and artistes), Video of the Year, & Music Event of the Year. The 'American Idol' judge Blake Shelton also received four nominations and this puts him on par with Bieber for the year 2020. Dan + Shay also received a fifth ACM nomination for Duo of the Year, making them the defending champions for the award category this year.

Speaking of high fives, the country music superstars Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett also joined Dan + Shay on the list of talented nominees with five nods apiece. 'The Bones' singer was nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Album of the Year (as both artiste and producer), but also made the shortlist for her collaborations with country supergroup The Highwomen (Group of the Year) and with Miranda Lambert on 'Fooled Around And Fell In Love' (Music Event of the Year). Meanwhile, the 'Look What God Gave Her' crooner earned nominations for Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and Album of the Year (as both artiste and producer).

Also receiving five nominations this time around were the group Old Dominion - fueled by their 2019 hit single 'One Man Band'. The uber-talented Nashville producer Dann Huff also joined these chart-topping artistes with five nominations.
