The last few episodes of 'Stumptown' have seen Dex (Cobie Smulders) go through a lot. She called it quits on her on-again-off-again relationship with Miles, was almost on the verge of losing Grey as her best friend, and the hardest of all, having to deal with Ansel's (Cole Sibus) decision to move out.

In Episode 11 of 'Stumptown', Dex is seen throwing a party at her place to simply excuse herself from an unpleasant reality. Although she is drunk out of her wits and her disinterest in known strangers is written all over her face, she tells Tookie (who is finally back!) that she's having a good time, lying to him and herself.

The latest episode also sees Dex turn to faith for a brief moment, hoping she could correct her mistakes from the past, which includes her wanting to give up Ansel for not being able to take care of him.

While Dex is grieving her brother's absence in the house and also to a certain in her life, Ansel is a bit too excited about becoming a "man" already. The bucket list for his 21st birthday includes drinking beer, shaving his beard and asking a girl out, among many other points.

Ansel enlists Grey's help for his little adventures, but the latter has a different opinion. He explains to Ansel that being a man isn't only about ticking off his bucket list but also being a caring human to his loved ones, emphasizing the growing distance between him and his sister.

Meanwhile, an estranged Dex realizes the importance of family while helping one of her clients find his own in her latest investigation. Her disturbed soul archives some peace when she introduces her client to his family members, who he was separated from when he was only an infant.

Episode 11 of 'Stumptown' dives a little deeper into Dex's character, revealing more sides to her alienated personality which shows her to be more than an impassive PI and an inefficient guardian to Ansel.

The next episode of 'Stumptown' airs on January 22 on ABC.
