A wrongfully convicted Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock) has been through a lot to achieve an identity of his own within the prison and in the outside world, which is abuzz with his battle against the District Attorney officials. However, his knowledge of the federal system has been useful in bringing justice to his fellow inmates, who are also suffering due to wrongful imprisonment.

The previous episode of 'For Life' saw Aaron consider an association with the newly-transferred inmate Cassius Hawkins (50 Cent) with hopes of being able to free himself; perhaps use the former's influence as leverage to overturn his own case.

In Episode 7 titled 'Do Us Part', Aaron needs to strike a balance between his immediate concerns and help a fellow inmate tie the knot with his girlfriend whose end is near.

The official synopsis for Episode 7 reads: "Aaron struggles to balance the demands of his own case with the needs of an inmate who’s fighting for the right to marry his dying girlfriend. Safiya defies the prison board, effectively jeopardizing Anya’s campaign as well as their marriage."

While Aaron’s representation of a rather unique case makes for an interesting aspect to look forward to in the upcoming episode, it remains to be seen how he is going to navigate his own struggles, despite landing a chance for a retrial.

Towards the end of the trailer, Dez O’Reilly (Erik Jensen) is seen telling the judge during Aaron’s retrial that his witness has failed to appear at the court, proving that Glen Maskins (Boris McGiver)  is way ahead of the alleged convict in this legal battle.

The trailer also teases a trouble in Safiya Masry’s (Indira Varma) relationship with her wife and politician Anya Harrison (Mary Stuart Masterson), who was alarmed by the former’s stringent initiatives to curb the surging drug flow within the prison. As stated in the synopsis, Safiya has chosen to stand defiant against the prison board, despite being aware of the damage it could bring to her wife’s political dreams.

The prison warden's determination to instill order in a rather corrupt system could uphold her professional integrity, but how will she save her marriage from falling apart?

‘For Life’ airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
