Spoilers for 'A Piece of your Mind' Episode 2

Episode 2 of 'A Piece of your Mind' portrays how humans deal with letting go of intimate relationships. It could be your first love or your parents who are not with you anymore. The art of letting go is something that people need to learn and through Ha Won (Jung Hae-in), Ji-soo (Park Joo-Hyun) and Seo-woo (Chae Soo-bin), this particular strand of emotion gets a poetic treatment.

Ji-soo and Ha Won have been in love with each other since they were in high school. Ji-Soo decided to leave this love behind when she falls in love with someone else in Ha Won's absence and even decides to get married to him. Ha Won is unaware of who this partner is, but in the process of getting reacquainted with Ji-soo, he might come across this man.

It also seems that Ji-soo is hiding something from Ha Won and that seems to disturb her more than anything. It also seems to have a negative impact on her relationship with her husband. It is something that her husband hopes she doesn't reveal to Ha Won. What is this secret that she seems to be holding within her?

Then we have Seo-woo who is unaware still that the man she referred to as 'Before Dawn' is Ha Won. She doesn't realize that she had been getting all her assignments from him all this while and continues to confide in him her conflict of going through with the assignments that she has been getting.

Meanwhile, Ji-soo, who had initially asked Ha Won to go with her to Oslo, decides that she will take care of whatever it is by herself. She doesn't meet Ha Won as planned, but instead catches up with Seo-woo and tells her how her married life has become painful. She has learned about a mistake that her husband had committed before she got married to him. This has to be the thing that Ji-soo is hiding from Ha Won as well but she believes that returning to Oslo might help her. So she does just that. She takes the bus to the airport without having a word with Ha Won who just ends up waiting for her the whole day.

Ji-soo also knows that Ha Won was the one that Seo-woo is referring to as 'Before Dawn'and she doesn't reveal it to Seo-woo from the get-go. Instead, she arrives at Oslo and then gives Seo-woo a hint to solve over a call. This is how Seo-woo finally realizes that 'Before Dawn' is Ha Won. As the episode progresses further, it also becomes clear that the incident Ji-soo is hiding from Ha Won is related to his dead mother.

The connection between Ji-soo and Seo-woo is strangely compelling as well. As Ji-soo shares intimate details about her life with Seo-woo, she gets stranded in the path that she had always walked with Ha Won. As she hides in the cabin in the middle of a snowstorm, the last person that she speaks to is Seo-woo. It is as if fate is playing a cruel joke on the three of them, and with that ending, we now don't know if Ji-soo will even make it out of this snowstorm alive.

So how will the lives of these three people progress from here?

New episodes of 'A Piece of Your Mind' air on tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 pm KST.
