Meghan Markle is EIGHTH most admired royal, only slightly more popular than Prince Edward!
Despite the turmoil that has surrounded Meghan Markle and Prince Harry since the Megxit two years ago, she is the eighth most admired member of the royal family.
According to a recent study by The Sun, the Duchess of Sussex, 41, is well-liked by younger Brits who are between the ages of 18 and 25. The study of 2,000 Britons found that she was the least popular royal among those over the age of 65. More people support Meghan than her husband's uncle Prince Edward and nephew Prince George, according to a study in which 9 per cent of respondents rated her favorably. The most popular royals were Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton who were admired by 23 and 20 per cent of poll respondents, respectively.

Prince Harry, 38, was admired by 16 per cent of poll respondents and is believed to be more respected than his wife, Meghan. Though he remains unpopular in comparison to the new King Charles and Princess Anne. Since they ceased to be working royals in 2020, the Sussexes have been the subject of controversy. After making explosive claims in interviews about their brief tenure as a working royal couple, the pair—who said they desired a more private lifestyle—have faced worldwide criticism.
The vast majority of the 2,000 individuals surveyed believed it would be best if Meghan and Harry stayed out of royal issues. A whopping 40 per cent of respondents said they didn't want the pair to come back as working royals. Another 30 per cent indicated they were unsure while 30 per cent believed they should resume their royal responsibilities. The study did show that the Sussexes are most popular among young Britons, however, it is unclear which age group believed they should be working royals. Among poll participants between the ages of 18 and 25, Harry received the highest ratings for royal popularity. He was most admired by 29 per cent of the younger demographic. The second most admired royal in the same age range was Meghan who received support from 19 per cent of young adults. On the other hand, middle-aged and elderly Britons have the least favorable opinions of her. She had a 4 per cent rating from the 65+ demographic, the lowest of the 10 royals on the list. At 10 per cent, she was the seventh-most admired monarch among respondents ages 45 to 54. The Duchess did not even crack the top ten among respondents aged 25 to 44 or 55 to 64. Meghan's alleged lack of favor may be related to the absurd allegations she makes in interviews.
The Times recently reported that Meghan thought she would become the "Beyoncé of the UK" once she wed Harry. The publication credited Valentine Low's upcoming book 'Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown' with making the shocking assertion in the article. The Duchess was disillusioned by the rigid conventions and restrictions of life as a working member of the royal family and felt more "cornered and misunderstood" by The Firm, according to royal insiders. At the crucial Sandringham conference when the royals discussed Harry and Meghan's future, the Queen was allegedly compelled to put her foot down over Megxit and tell the Sussexes they were "either in or out," as stated in the book.
