ABC's high drama 'A Million Little Things' returned with its Season 3 and the premiere episode answered all burning questions left at the end of the last season. From Eddie's (David Giuntoli) hit and run and Rome and Regina's (Romany Malco and Christina Moses) failed adoption to Gary (James Roday Rodriguez) and Maggie's (Allison Miller) incomplete romance, the first episode of 'A Million Little Things' Season 3 definitely intrigued a lot of its viewers. And if we're to go by 'Fatman' actor Chance Hurstfield's words, this is only the beginning — "a rollercoaster of emotions" is oncoming.

"All the Millionaires [fans of 'A Million Little Things'] have a lot in store," the actor, who plays the role of Danny Dixon teases in an exclusive conversation with MEAWW. While he is wary of revealing too much without getting into trouble, he adds, "Much like last year, find a comfortable spot, get your favourite snack, your favourite drink, because it's going to be another season of a rollercoaster of emotions. So it's going to be filled with laughs, can be filled with crying and it's going to be filled with that warm, fuzzy feeling inside."

In his quick chat with MEAWW, Hurstfield says that Season 3 is going to be packed with "a lot of [unexpected] twists". So far, little has been revealed about what Danny has in store going forward, including his arcs with mother Delilah (Stephanie Szostak) and sister Sophie (Lizzy Greene). But he talks about the role he plays. "Danny loves his family more than anything. Sophie and Delilah, because they've been through so much. Not separately, they've been through it all together. He's hit rock bottom with his family. So today they are like the Three Musketeers — they are the people who Danny can go to when he needs help or when he's feeling down."

There is another person on the show who Danny turns to in his time of need. Gary Mendez played by the fan favourite James Roday Rodriguez is a go-to figure for Danny. After Danny's father Jon's (Ron Livingston) suicide in Season 1, Gary took over as a father figure. He was also the one Danny came out to before anyone else. "Danny looks at Gary as another father — he has that special bond with Gary where they understand each other and Gary's very warm and comforting with Danny," the actor says. Even behind the screen, their relationship is pretty much the same. "James, to me, is like a mentor to me. When you're in a scene with him, he will let you dictate the pace and the emotion, and then he will match that pace and the emotion. So he is a very generous actor in that way. He teaches me a lot of things about acting sometimes without knowing he's teaching me."

In the upcoming Episode 3 'Letting go', which airs later in the month on December 10, 2020, Danny treads through some difficult waters as Gary helps him through it. According to the synopsis of the episode, "As Delilah prepares for her trip, Gary helps Danny confront a bully at his school."

The new episode of 'A Million Little Things' titled 'Writings on the Wall' airs on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 10 pm EST on ABC.
