A&E's upcoming 'World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum' will break the record of any ghost hunting show aired on television to date
UPDATED OCT 25, 2019

After its biggest hit ‘Ghost Hunters’, A&E is all set to make you jump in your seats again with its upcoming two-hour special ‘World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum'. This will be the longest ghost hunt ever televised, promising some of the most challenging paranormal investigations.

Release Date

‘World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum’ premiers Wednesday, October 30 at 8pm ET, exclusively on A&E.

Plot

Between 1908 and 1987, Pennhurst Asylum in Pennsylvania, housed more than 10,000 residents, with a majority of children and women, to be treated for their mental and/or physical disabilities. Back in the day, the inmates were reportedly held in the most brutal environment, neglected, and abused. The institution’s history of violence, suffering, and horrifying death resulted in many stories in the later years. Reports of mysterious noises, sightings of full-body apparitions, and some attacks have given this place the reputation of being the ‘most haunted place in the state’. ‘World’s Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum’ follows the chilling experience of five investigators who lock themselves inside the historic asylum for two weeks and document unexplained paranormal activities. The team will use the latest technology (like they usually do) to run their investigation across the haunted 110-acre property and present you with the longest ghost hunt on TV.

Cast

The two-hour special features Max Baumle, Ali Horrick, Katie Burr, Austin George and Zak Heino as investigators.

Showrunner

'World's Biggest Ghost Hunt: Pennhurst Asylum' is produced by Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary’s Revelations Entertainment, in association with Mark Marinaccio, Jon Crowley, Kelly Mendelsohn and James Younger serving as executive producers.
