Paul Staehle and Karine Martins have been having problems in their personal life, and viewers have been a part of it as it plays out on their social media. The August 16 episode of the show gave a glimpse of their marital problems. Paul seemed distressed and confused about what had been happening.

He had been waiting outside their bathroom door and questioned Karine if she was doing fine. Opening up to the camera, Paul revealed that this was not the first time Karine had locked herself in the bathroom. He revealed that there were times when she would lock herself for three to six hours.

As the episode progressed, Paul had a hard time convincing Karine to come out. Fortunately, she came out when Paul's mother, Mary came to the house to meet everyone. Paul revealed that Karine had been having mood swings, and lately they had become bad. Once Karine was out of the bathroom, she decided to walk out of the house.

Karine assured Mary that she wasn't the one who was at fault. Despite this, she refused to give any explanation to Paul about what had happened. Mary decided to go after Karine, but she refused to seek help. Meanwhile, Paul thought it was time to get to the bottom of their problems and confronted her about what was happening.

However, Karine failed to give him an answer. She stated that Paul should leave her alone, and without thinking much, Paul thought it would be good to give her the space she needed. While many questions have raised in Paul's mind, he is not the only one thinking about what has been happening.

After watching the scene, many viewers started to wonder what happened to Karine. Some of them suggested that she might be suffering from postpartum depression as she recently gave birth. At the same time, some assumed that moving to another country might have made things worse for her.

"I Believe Karine has Some postpartum depression going on, on top of being in a new place," one user wrote. "Is Karine going through some postpartum depression? I mean she just had this baby and now her entire life is uprooted. It’s a lot," another wondered.

Some thought Paul was not doing a good job as the comment read, "Why is Paul bothering Karine so much. He needs to just give her space and let her have time alone. She’s clearly dealing with postpartum depression in addition to missing her family. Paul is the worst. He’s so nagging."

Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "Karine probably has postpartum depression, which is worsened by the fact that she’s living in a shed with the most annoying unemployed bum that won’t leave her the hell alone."

'90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After' airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
