'90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days': Are David and Sheila still together? Deaf couple struggles to communicate

OMAHA, NEBRASKA: TLC's '90 Day Fiance' franchise comes up with unique stories of love that cross the boundaries of nationality and geography. The spinoff '90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' is equally interesting, featuring stories of eight couples from around the globe. Even though the individuals are divided geographically, they are united by love. With the release of the new season, new possibilities, hopes, and differences will be brought up.

It is to be seen whether the couples in '90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' Season 6 will be able to overcome their differences and stay together until the end. As one of each couple steps out of their comfort zone and travels abroad to visit their loved ones, they discover surprising things about each other. David and Sheila are two new faces that viewers will get to see on '90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' Season 6.

Are David and Sheila still together?

It is difficult to say whether David and Sheila are still together or not. Neither the couple's last names have been revealed nor can they be found on any social media. However, from the show's trailer, it seems that the couple will have to face a lot of difficulties trying to adjust to each other's life. David was born fully deaf and primarily communicates through American Sign Language. While Sheila is also deaf, she does not know American Sign Language and used to text in English to converse with David. Hence, it's expected that communication will be the major barrier in David and Sheila's relationship. Even though those who are hearing-impaired tend to pick up sign language easily, the case here is a little tricky. 

Sheila is worried about David not connecting with her son

David will be flying to the Philippines to meet the love of his life, Sheila. But will his journey be worth it? The trailer of '90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' gives a glimpse of the hurdles the couple is about to face. After flying to the Philippines, David will meet Sheila's son, and the two will have a hard time communicating, creating a barrier between them. Since David cannot speak and does not understand anything other than American Sign Language, it will become hard for Sheila's son to communicate with him. She says in the trailer, "What if my son cannot connect with David because he is deaf?" The trailer hints that this is going to be a significant issue between the couple. Since Sheila's life revolves around her son, she needs to know that her fiance and son connect with each other well.

'90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days' Season 6 premieres on Sunday, June 4 at 8 pm ET/PT on TLC.
