The fan-voted CMT Music Awards is all set to air this week. The ceremony, which began as Music City News Awards in 1967, is one of the most anticipated country music award shows with some of the biggest names – such as Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, and Shania Twain, among others – all making an appearance on the event over the years. Here's all you need to know about this year's event.

Date, Time and Venue

The 2020 CMT Music Awards will air live on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 8 pm EST. The event, like every year, will be broadcasted live from Nashville, Tennessee. The performances have been pre-taped from locations in and around Nashville like the downtown Bicentennial Park and Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.

Originally set for June 3, the ceremony was first pushed to October 14 due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was then postponed to October 21 due to a scheduling conflict with this year's Billboard Music Awards.

Where to Watch

The 2020 CMT Music Awards will air live on The CMT Network, as well as on MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop TV and TV Land. Apart from cable, the ceremony can also be watched on Fubo TV, or streamed online on Hulu + Live TV.

Hosts

The 2020 CMT Music Awards will be hosted by Kane Brown, Ashley McBryde and actress Sarah Hyland.
