2020 CMA Awards Full Performers List: Justin Bieber, Miranda Lambert and all the artistes set to hit the stage
The awards season continues with the latest 2020 CMA Awards which will honor the best achievements in the country music genre from last year. Global musicians like Justin Bieber, Miranda Lambert and Luke Combs among others will also hit the stage with their popular songs.
The coveted ceremony will be hosted by Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker, who are also performing at the event. Singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert is leading the nominations race with seven nods followed closely by Luke Combs with six nominations. Interestingly, both artistes will be competing for the Entertainer of the Year award as well. Speaking of performances, here’s how the complete list of performers looks like:
Opening tribute acts
The award ceremony will be paying a tribute to late Country music legend Charlie Daniels with singer Jason Aldean performing as part of the opening act. Dierks Bentley will also be a part of the opening tribute. He might hit the stage with his popular songs like ‘Bad Angel’ and ‘Kings of Neon’. Jenee Fleenor, the singer-songwriter won Musician of the Year at the 2019 CMA Awards is also part of the opening tribute where she might belt out her 2020 hit song ‘Good Ol’ Girls’.
Ashley McBryde is another artiste who will be seen crooning her hit numbers in the opening act. The singer has scored three CMA nominations this year including Album of the Year for ‘Never Will’ and Female Vocalist of the Year. ‘I am Not for Everyone’ and ‘Loving Me Back’ are some of the biggest hits of 2020 from country duo Brothers Osborne, and therefore, it won’t be a surprise if they perform the same numbers on stage. They are part of the opening act and also nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year.
Justin Bieber with Dan + Shay
The Canadian pop star, who is rarely seen at country music awards, will be performing his hit single ’10,000 Hours’ along with country duo Dan and Shay for which they have also scored the nod for Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year.
Jimmie Allen
Nominated for New Artist of the Year at 2020 CMA Awards, the singer will also hit the stage as a performer. He might belt out his hit singles of the year like ‘This is Us’ and ‘Why Things Happen’.
Ingrid Andress
The talented crooner might perform her hit single ‘More Hearts Than Mine’ at the award ceremony for which she is also nominated for Song of the Year and she has also got a nod for New Artist of the Year.
Gabby Barrett with Charlie Puth
Gabby Barrett has scooped nominations for Single of the Year for her song ‘I Hope’ and New Artist of the Year at this year’s event. Therefore, she is expected to perform the same song along with pop singer Charlie Puth.
Lee Brice with Carly Pearce
The American country music singer will be performing his hit single ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ with Carly Pearce, for which they are nominated for Musical Event of the Year.
Miranda Lambert
The country music legend is the most nominated artist of the year with seven bids including Entertainer of the Year. Miranda is also the most nominated woman in CMAs history. She might floor the audience with any of her hit singles like ‘Settling Down’ and ‘Bluebird’ among others.
Eric Church
Eric Church, who is nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year this year, might perform his hit songs like ‘Crazyland’ and ‘Bad Mother Trucker’ at 2020 CMA Awards.
Luke Combs
With six nods, the much-celebrated singer is one of the most nominated artistes at the award show this year which also includes Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. He might mesmerise the audience with his hit singles like ‘Cold As You’ and ‘Forever After All.’
Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen is nominated for New Artist of the Year and will be performing his song hit song ‘More Than My Hometown’ at 2020 CMA Awards.
Keith Urban
According to Gold Derby, the renowned singer is currently in Australia and therefore, he might perform via a live stream for a special intimate performance of ‘God Whispered Your Name’.
Thomas Rhett with Hillary Scott and Chris Tomlin
Chris Tomlin is nominated for Musical Event of the Year as a featured artist on Thomas Rhett’s 'Be a Light', which he will perform during the ceremony along with Hillary Scott. Rhett is nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year. Host Reba McEntire will also join the trio for the special performance.
Darius Rucker
Apart from hosting the event, Darius Rucker will also give a tribute performance with Reba McEntire as well as another performance with country music trio Lady A.
Rascal Flatts
The country music group will set the stage on fire with their hit singles like ‘Until Grace’ and ‘Through the Years’. They are nominated for Vocal Group of the Year, which they previously won six years in a row from 2003 to 2008.
Jon Pardi
The 35-year-old country music singer will be performing in honor of Joe Diffie. This year he’s also nominated for Album of the Year for ‘Heartache Medication.’
Old Dominion
Old Dominion will be performing Johnny Lee’s ‘Looking for Love’ and the group is also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year for their self-titled release.
Maren Morris
Maren Morris is expected to belt out her hit single ‘The Bones’ for which she has scooped two nods at 2020 CMA Awards including Single of the Year and Song of the Year. The talented crooner is also nominated in three other categories.
Little Big Town
According to Golden Derby, the country music group will perform a tribute to Kenny Rogers. They’re also nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at 2020 CMA Awards.
Florida Georgia Line
The American country music duo might win the audience with their popular songs like ‘Long Live’ and ‘Countryside’ among others. The duo is nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, which they previously won in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Fans will be able to watch the 54th edition of the renowned CMA Awards live from Nashville’s Music City Center on Wednesday, November 11, from 8 to 11 pm ET on ABC.
