2020 Billboard Music Awards Full List of Performers: Post Malone, Doja Cat to Bad Bunny, all the stars set to raise the heat
After being postponed for several months due to the global pandemic, the 2020 Billboard Music Awards are finally here. The award ceremony will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson and will feature much-awaited performances from some of the biggest selling artists on the planet.
From first time nominee Doja Cat to Post Malone, who has scored the maximum nods this year, here's what the full list of performers at 2020 Billboard Music Awards looks like.
Post Malone
Leading the pack with 16 nominations this year, R&B icon Post Malone will hit the stage at the awards ceremony this year and is expected to croon his recent hot numbers such as ‘Wow,’ ‘Saint Tropez,’ ‘Circles’ and ‘Sunflower’ among others.
Bad Bunny
The Puerto Rican rapper and singer, who is known for his loud fashion sense, will also set the stage on fire with his power-filled performance. The 26-year-old artist, who has earlier won two Billboard Music Awards, has scooped four nominations this year including Top Latin Artist.
BTS
Probably the biggest act this year is South Korean squad BTS. The septet just had their biggest career hit single ‘Dynamite’ and we are pretty sure they are going to perform this song along with their other medley of hits.
Doja Cat
The 24-year-old American singer has scored her very first Billboard Music Awards nomination this year for her club banger ‘Juicy’ featuring Tyga. Doja Cat is expected to perform her medley of hits including ‘Say So,’ ‘Juicy’ and ‘Boss B***h’.
Kane Brown with Khalid and Swae Lee
Kane Brown will be performing his hit single of the year ‘Be Like That’ along with R&B singer Khalid and rapper Swae Lee. Kane Brown, Khalid and Swae Lee have earned three, 12 and four nominations each, respectively. The trio also performed the same song in some of the awards ceremonies held earlier this year.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys has won nine Billboard Music Awards over the course of her career. She released her new album titled ‘ALICIA’ a few weeks ago and therefore, it won’t be wrong to assume that she might be belting out a few hits from her fresh project.
Sia
Australian singer Sia dropped quite a few songs this year but her collaboration with her dear friend David Guetta on the song ‘Let’s Love’ made a lot of noise. Her other song ‘Together’ with Maddie Ziegler also made headlines and therefore, we are assuming she might perform these numbers to enthrall her fans.
Garth Brooks
It’s very rare to see country music singers performing at an award show which is majorly ruled by pop, R&B and hip-hop music but we will see Garth Brooks mesmerizing his fans with his soothing voice at the BBMAs. Also, he will be honored with the Icon Award at the ceremony.
Luke Combs
We are surely are blessed with another country music singer taking over the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. Luke Combs, who recently won Male Artist of the Year award and Album of the Year award at the 55th edition of ACM Awards this year, will show-off his exceptional singing skills. And, yes, he is also nominated for four awards including Top Country Artist.
En Vogue
The legendary R&B group En Vogue will perform their classic hit single ‘Free Your Mind’ to celebrate their 30th anniversary. The American R&B/pop group, which was formed in 1989, has won several Billboard Music Awards in the past. The trio is also known for their songs such as ‘My Lovin (You're Never Gonna Get It)’ and ‘Giving Him Something He Can Feel’.
Demi Lovato
The 28-year-old singer released her hit single ‘OK Not to Be OK’ in September 2020 and we are expecting her to perform the same for her fans on the big day. The singer has been nominated for the coveted BBMAs for a total of seven times.
Saint JHN
The American rapper had an amazing year with his music career as his song ‘Roses’ went platinum and also reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Apart from this banger, the 34-year-old hip-hop artist is also expected to perform his other songs as well.
The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will be held on October 14 and will be broadcasted live from 8 pm from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on NBC. The award ceremony was first scheduled for April 29, 2020, but as mentioned earlier, it was delayed to the Covid-19 lockdown.
