Rick Ross and 2 Chainz Verzuz Battle: Bored fans declare Drake the winner for featuring in the matchup
The special high roller edition of the Verzuz IG Live Battle between the hip-hop mogul Rick Ross and rap heavyweight 2 Chainz kicked off at 8 pm ET on August 6. More than 200,000 fans showed up on the Verzuz TV Instagram Live and Apple Music channels to see these two stalwarts pit their best 20 tunes against each other. Both stars were accompanied by the respective DJs and seemed to be in a laidback party mood, with fans also raring to see how this matchup would pan out. Naturally, Rick Ross is the favorite to pick this victory off, since the Maybach Music Group head honcho has plenty of hits to his stellar catalog, but 2 Chainz aka Titty Boi has also had his share of bangers over the years.
One fan said Rick Ross was winning for sure since he had too much depth to his catalog, not to mention the clout of rappers like Meek Mill and Jay-Z.

But another fan noted this was definitely not a forgone conclusion, since many fans were already predicting a wash in Ricky Rozay's favor.
It’s closer than folks think. Rick Ross is not washing 2 Chainz https://t.co/m1ni3UyBDU

What's more, Ross even revealed that he would be playing some more exclusives during an afterparty stream on the Instagram channel for Luc Belaire, a wine brand that he endorses. He also hinted that he might be sharing an unreleased Kanye West collaboration during that set, so no doubt fans will be flocking over to that after Verzuz winds down.
As the battle began, one fan quipped, "Every time Ross says 'Boss' take a shot. Every time Chainz says 'Dat hard' take a shot. #Verzuz."

One of the highlights came when 2 Chainz uncorked 'Bandz A Make Her Dance' and actually brought in some women to dance along to the song that he had famously featured on with Lil Wayne and Juicy J.

Not to be outdone, a shirtless Rick Ross even opted to get a back massage from a blonde lady wearing a coronavirus mask during a break in the festivities.
Another highlight came when producer Timbaland came onscreen to dance with both hip-hop legends as the music prompted them all to get off their feet and groove along. Timbaland is the one who founded the Verzuz battle series alongside Swizz Beatz, as a way to entertain fans during the coronavirus lockdown.
One of the most hilarious moments came when the music icon Snoop Dogg himself asked where he could get a fresh supply of green since he was all smoked out.
