'What do apples and pears have to do with stairs?': Zendaya admits she has trouble grasping BF Tom Holland's British accent and rhyming slang
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans now have a special look inside Zendaya's relationship with her boyfriend Tom Holland. Despite being romantically involved for several years, the American actress, 26, acknowledged that she still finds it difficult to comprehend the actor's British accent.
She states that despite Tom's continuous attempts to explain cockney rhyming slang to her, she frequently has trouble understanding what the 26-year-old says. She told The Sun, "I love the British accent, but as much as Tom tries to explain it to me, I will never understand rhyming slang. Like I understand the concept — but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs? It’s cute when he tells me all the different phrases — but I really don’t get it!"

Tom and Zendaya plan to move in together
Tom's mansion, for which he paid £2.5 million in 2018, is currently undergoing substantial repairs. Additionally, it is said that the pair bought a six-bedroom Richmond house for £3 million. According to reports, he intends to move in with his girlfriend. The Mirror reports that the couple has ambitious makeover plans for their new home, which will contain a theater, a gym, and Tom's man cave.
Zendaya already owns a $3 million home in Los Angeles, therefore it has been speculated that the acquisitions and renovations were funded by the approximately £15 million Tom has made from his six Marvel flicks. Given that Tom is reputedly worth £13 million and Zendaya is worth £11 million, money was not an issue for the couple.
Zendaya seemed to be thrilled about the idea of moving in with Tom, who she claims is a fantastic cook. She said, "We learnt early on that only one of us could be in the kitchen at a time, we are both control freaks so we can’t be in there together."
Zendaya and Tom have been linked together since 2017
The couple was revealed to be dating when they were caught passionately kissing in his car during a date in Los Angeles in July 2021. Zendaya continually refuted reports that the two were dating despite the fact that they had been linked since they finished shooting their first movie together, Spider-Man: Homecoming, in 2017.
But in July of that year, a People insider said that the franchise's co-stars had started dating but were trying to hide their relationship. "They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man. They've been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they've gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another," claimed the source.
