While the duo has already acknowledged the rumors and have completely denied it, their recent big city outing may have revealed a possible romance blooming. In August 2019, Elordi, 23 and Zendaya, 22 were spotted together in Greece back on a vacation, when they flew to Athens to celebrate Zendaya's birthday. A few months later, in October 2019, according to Us Weekly, they were spotted on a "romantic date night" and saw a movie together. They also spent Thanksgiving together in November in Syndey where there were both honored at the GQ Men of the Year Awards. Zendaya was honored with the GQ Australia's 2019 woman of the year award and Elordi was honored as with TV Actor of the Year.
They were quick to jump on the rumors, denying them and identifying their relationship as nothing but a close friendship. In December 2019, Elordi referred to his co-star as his "sister" and told GQ, "Zendaya is an amazing creative, you know? She's super dope to work with. She's an incredible artist and a very caring person to all of us, but we're all really close. There is not one weak link in that show. We've spent so much time together and everyone is just so cool to work with," breaking his silence on the dating rumors. Recently, at the 2020 American Australian Association Arts Awards in New York City, Zendaya presented Elori with the Rising Star award and slid in "best friend" to describe their relationship.

On Monday, the duo enjoyed a fun day out in NYC - stopping by a bookstore with some green juice and a little bit of selfie-snapping and a gym date wasn't the most exciting part. Elordi was also spotted kissing Zendaya on the head.
