Young MA, whose real name is Katorah Kasanova Marrero, has apparently checked herself into rehab for an unknown addiction. The rapper took to her Instagram stories and Twitter a few days ago where she hinted about the same but it was now when the Internet got abuzz about her social media posts.

The 29-year-old female emcee, who has also worked with hip-hop legend Eminem, had shared an Instagram story with her 6.5 million followers which read, “Bouta lose this addiction…omw to rehab” adding in another story, “MAB I’ll be back”, as reported by Vlad TV. Speaking of rehab, public figures like John Mulaney and Tony Hsieh and Colin Farrell were also in news earlier for their addiction.

Young MA prays for help

Apart from sharing her Instagram stories, Young MA also took to Twitter where she prayed to the lord to comfort her in her suffering. “Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure.”  She continued, “Give me such confidence in the power of your grace, that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you.”

The multi-platinum emcee has time and again been clicked with what she refers to as her “sippy cup” and she has also earlier shared her love for Hennessy. Young MA has not revealed the addiction she is going to rehab for but it is believed that she might be dealing with alcoholism. According to HipHopDX, the Brooklyn native earlier spoke about alleged drug use in the past in her Instagram Live when someone brought the topic of coke. “Yo, y’all be sayin’ some crazy s**t. Don’t say no s**t like that on my Live, bro. Talkin’ ’bout sniffing coke off- what is this? Somebody said, ‘Sniffin’ glue- sniff coke off your strap.’ Y’all crazy, bro? For real? Like, come on son. Don’t talk like that, bro, on my Live, man. She added, “I don’t got people like that. You know what I’m sayin’? That coke shit? I don’t do that. I don’t pop no pills, I don’t sniff no coke, nothing, bro. The most I do — I drink and smoke some weed. Y’all ni**s wildin’ with that s**t. That s**t ain’t even cute. For real.”

A lot of social media users rushed to Twitter to express their concern over Young MA checking herself into a rehab. Speaking on the same lines, one user stated, “Young MA checked herself into rehab I hope she’s ok.” Another stated, “Young MA went to rehab and I applaud her.” One fan added, “Young MA checked herself into rehab. I respect that. Heavy on the self awareness.”
 
One individual tweeted, “Just read that Young MA checked herself into rehab and idk that girl from a can of paint, but I’m happy that she took that step! Addiction is real”, whereas, another said, “I wanna be there to support Young MA when she get outta rehab.” The next one asserted, “I’m so happy for Young MA taking big steps and checking into a rehab to get rid of her addiction god bless her she has surrender her heart into your hands.” One concluded, “Young Ma with the rehab addiction admission. I wonder what her substance of choice is.”
