'You’d send my jumper into club level': Tom Brady leaves fans in splits with comical height comparison to Victor Wembanyama
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady posed for a photo alongside Victor Wembanyama and joked about his height difference with the NBA sensation.
Brady, 46, met the 19-year-old San Antonio Spurs star at a dinner on the night of November 7 ahead of his first game against the New York Knicks on November 8 at Madison Square Garden.
The NFL star posted the pictures on Instagram comparing his height to that of Wembanyama. He posted two photos, one with just Wenbanyama and the second with Fanatics co-owner Michael Rubin alongside NBA and NFL stars.
In the caption of the post, he shared his excitement over meeting the French rookie, writing, "Awesome to meet you @wemby. Incredible young man. Usually I'd make some joke here about how I think I could get 10 and 10 against you, but let's be real… you'd send my jumper into the club level."
He also took a dig at former teammate Julian Edelman, tagging him in the post and asking, "PS: @edelman11 This is how you felt all those years?"

The NFL legend and the budding basketball star have a significant height difference.
According to NBA.com, Wembanyama is 7 ft 3.5 in (2.23 meters), making him the NBA's second-tallest player this coming season behind Boban Marjanovic. Tom Brady is visibly much shorter than the NBA star.

Tom Brady is 6 ft 4 in (193.7 cm), making him almost 1 foot shorter than Victor. This makes him slightly taller than the average height for an NFL quarterback.
However, in a previous interview, he once remarked, “I’m 6 foot 4, 220 pounds, and I’m the smallest guy out there.”
Brady continued his joke by posting a photoshopped picture of him with the Spurs star on X. He appeared taller next to Wembanyama and jokingly wrote, "Media outlets asking for permission to use this photo. Yes you may, here is the file. Disregard other photoshopped images of me and Victor."
Victor Wembanyama knows who Tom Brady is
Wembanyama said he and Brady "pretty much ran into each other" at the dinner put together by Rubin. After the meeting, he told reporters he was trying to learn more about American football and knew who Brady was.
"I really liked the vibe from him, very humble and interesting, but also interested [in other people]," he said to Joe Vardon from The Athletic. "It feels really good to see successful but happy people. He just looks like he is happy with the life he's got, and he makes other people around happy."
