Its semifinals on 'World of Dance' and the competition among the dancers is more intense than ever. Every dancer/dance group competing in the semifinals round is determined to earn a spot in the coveted finals round. With just two spots left to compete in the finals round, the dancers displayed their best dance routines and moves with the hopes of impressing judges-Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough.

The second part of the semifinals round saw six talented dancers/ dance groups competing against each other to make their way to the finals. Jake and Chau have managed to consistently impress the judges with their lovely performances and passion for dance. For their semifinals performance, the duo gave a beautiful performance filled with rather impressive dance moves. The judges held their breath in fear when at one point Jake did a back-flip over Chau while she was lying down on the ground. While giving their feedback, JLo expressed her fears of how she thought Jake would end up killing Chau while performing their elaborate yet risky performance. The judges unanimously declared that the duo's performance was the best performance they saw in the entire semifinals round of 'World of Dance'.

With such impressive feedback from the judges and an impressive score of 95.3 from the judges, one wouldn't be wrong to assume that Jake and Chau would definitely be making their way to the finals. But sadly, you'd be wrong, because Dutch dance troupe Oxygen beat them to it. Oxygen dancers managed to impress the judges in the initial rounds with their impressive formations and synchronization, but during the duels round, they didn't make the cut after they decided to try out something new. But luckily, they managed to redeem themselves and earn a spot in the semifinals round.

For their semifinals performance, the group performed a very interesting routine which featured one of the dancers as the puppet master and the rest of them as puppets. The judges, especially JLo were impressed with the passion and determination of the group. The judges were also pleased with the unique, out of the box performance and decided to give them a score of 96.3. While judges loved Oxygen's performance and couldn't stop praising it, fans didn't share the sentiment. Several fans took to Twitter to express how Jake and Chau should have been sent to finals instead of Oxygen.

A fan tweeted, "Ok i’m so over this. jake and chau were robbed and they deserved to go to the finals. it should’ve been them and mdc 3. oxygen did not deserve to go to the finals  #WorldofDance."

Another fan wrote, "Y’all I’m really sad. Oxygen did alternating bobble heads while Jake did a back flip and landed over Chau perfectly and is not going through?! F**k #WorldofDance and Ima say it again next week."

Another fan expressed, "I’m sorry but oxygen’s performance was not better than jake and chau’s. they should not have a higher score than them but whatever #WorldofDance."

"Boo it should have been Jake and Chau over Oxygen #worldofdance," declared a fan.
