CALHOUN, GEORGIA: Marla McEntire, a 34-year-old woman from Georgia, recently revealed the shocking story of how she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on the toilet, without even realizing that she was pregnant. Despite being on birth control, Marla unknowingly carried the baby for 40 weeks.

According to Marla, she had missed just one period during her pregnancy but dismissed it after taking a pregnancy test that came out negative. She experienced no other typical pregnancy symptoms, such as a growing belly or morning sickness.

Marla thought she was constipated

Marla first noticed something unusual when she began experiencing hip pain and stomach issues in January. She went to a chiropractor and a doctor, but neither of them caught the fact that she was pregnant. Then, on the night of February 27, Marla thought she was experiencing constipation and sent her father to the store to buy laxatives. But on her "fifth trip" to the bathroom, Marla realized she was in labor.

Marla recounted the shocking experience to her TikTok followers in a series of videos, "I had just had Atlas in the toilet, I looked down and see that he's alive and I yell for my dad. My dad comes in there and helps me get the baby out of the toilet because obviously he is still attached at this point and it's a little hard for me to get him out."

Father acted as a 'midwife' and called 911 for advice

Her father, Kevin, called 911 for advice, and the EMTs instructed him to tie the umbilical cord off. Not feeling comfortable doing that, Kevin improvised by using a potato chip clip until the EMTs arrived. After Marla and Atlas were eventually taken to the hospital for check-ups, both mother and baby were found to be doing well. Despite the happy outcome, Marla revealed that there are still issues with the paternity of the baby's father that she is dealing with.

'No one knew you existed. Not even your mom!'

Marla's sister Lacey took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about the new mother-and-son duo. She wrote: "Dear baby Atlas, it is sooo insane to think that just seven days ago, no one knew you existed. Not even your mom! ... Dear sister, the moment I found out Atlas was born and met y'all over at the hospital, I saw a change wash over you, a new found sense of peace and purpose in this life. You have one heck of a testimony now sis, and have so beautifully taken on this unexpected role of motherhood. I seriously could not be more proud of you."
