California woman says husband 'faked his death' to be with mistress — and her mom was in on it
SAN DIEGO, CALIFRONIA: A woman reportedly claimed on social media that her husband went to great lengths to fake his death in order to be with his mistress. Anessa Rossii said that she was informed that her estranged spouse ended his life five months after they broke-up and that funeral preparations had even been made.
Rossii was astonished to learn that her husband—to whom she is still legally married—was still alive and well and was sharing a home in Mexico with his mistress, who he had been having an affair with for six years. She explained the bizarre story on a TikTok video. She said, "Put a finger down if the Miami-Dade police department calls you and tells you that they have uncovered your husband's body and he is dead by apparent suicide."

Rossii continued, "So you and your family plan his funeral and everyone was shocked that this happened but you're on bad terms with your ex-husband's family so you stay in California and they stay in Florida while they 'plan the funeral," adding, "And you don't go to the services in Florida because his family said it would be way too traumatic if you were to show up because you were in the middle of a divorce with your husband."
Rossii revealed in a different video that her husband's parents had called her on January 22 to inform her that he had died by suicide. She claimed that she even had phone conversations with individuals posing as members of the neighborhood police force and coroner's office.
'He is living in Mexico with his mistress'
Yet after a few months, she realized it was all a sham. Rossii claimed on a video, "It is now March and you spend months grieving and you even think about 'unaliving' yourself because you feel like you are the one that did it," adding, "And one day you go on live on TikTok and someone tells you to check your DMs because they have information regarding your husband and you open the DM only to find out that your husband is not only alive but he is living in Mexico with his mistress of six years who he's been having an affair with."

'I did not fake my own death'
Soon after, Rossii's husband, Tim, refuted her claims in a video he posted, in response to the accusations. The 41-year-old said,"I did not fake my own death. I mean, even to hear that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life."
Tim asserted that Rossii had lied when she claimed that her mother was in a coma and that he had personally spoken with her to learn the truth. He said, "I asked for a divorce from Anessa because we were in Miami, and supposedly her mother was in a coma for months." He also accused her of lying about a prior sexual assault, saying her mother had informed him that the scar she had was actually the result of a belly tuck. Responding to his claims, Rossii confirmed her mother had been communicating with Tim and accused her of lying to him, as per Dailystar.

Rossii then said, "I still don't have answers to that, I don't know. My mother blocked me, she's refusing to tell me why she made up lies to Tim," adding that Tim's story about the divorce was "f***ing bulls**t." "I left my husband on July 9 in Miami because on July 6 him and I had a massive fight that turned physical where he said that he was going to kill me and kill our two dogs. I will show the f***ing receipts right now," she claimed.
Rossii also claimed that her mother was also part of the elaborate scheme. "The fact that my husband and his mistress were speaking on the phone with my mother and recording their conversations, I feel like that just goes to show this whole thing was a plan, this whole thing was a set up like they were doing it in an effort to show I'm crazy," she said.
