The trial of Mexican drug lord and Sinaloa Cartel supremo Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán at a federal court in Brooklyn, New York, continues to throw curve ball after curve ball, with the latest hearing seeing one of the 64-year-old's former mistresses turn against him.
According to the New York Post, Lucero Guadalupe Sanchez Lopez — who Chapo met in 2011 when she was 21 and who would go on to work for his cartel before becoming a politician and getting elected to Sinaloa's Congress in 2013 — took the stand to detail her relationship with the drug lord.
