Will TJ Holmes and Amy Robach face disciplinary action? 'GMA' co-hosts anchor show despite alleged affair
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: American journalists, TJ Holmes and Amy Robach will reportedly not face any repercussions over their alleged romantic relationship, something which they had been trying "very hard to hide," reported TMZ. It was previously reported that their alleged love affair started in March when they were training together for the New York City Half Marathon, with some reports even claiming that the co-anchors of 'GMA3', had parted with their spouses in August.
Holmes and Robach are unlikely to receive any punishment as they did nothing wrong, according to the news outlet. “All they care about is the ratings,” an ABC staffer shared, as per the reports on Page Six. “This is ratings gold. That’s why [ABC News President] Kim [Goodwin] wanted them on the show today.” The fact that the duo was on air on Thursday, November 1, further proves that there is no unwarranted heat on them. The pair was back on air as normal, with Holmes asking, “Who is looking forward to the weekend?” Robach laughed, replying, “Uh, me!”

It is said that several years ago, Robach went to ABC executives to dispel the rumors that she and Holmes were a thing. She was aware of the gossip that was circulating in the building, with talk that they had hooked up, but Robach convinced her higher-ups they were just friends. Reportedly the duo decided to make their relationship public in several weeks due to the fact that Robach's divorce from Andrew Shue will be finalized in around 2 weeks, reported TMZ.
No one was talking about their relationship, including ABC executives until a news outlet broke the story. Both of them also deleted their social media accounts after the rumors spread. Holmes even hosted their show alone on Wednesday, just a few hours after the Daily Mail obtained photos of the TV personalities getting close on various New York outings. “Welcome to ‘GMA3’ minus two,” the Daytime Emmy nominee joked at the time. “Ain’t that something?" “Yes. Robach is not here,” he continued. “Dr. [Jennifer] Ashton, not here. Stuck with me, folks.”
Page Six reported that there was a meeting yesterday during which employees were asked to stick to existing plans and pretend like everything is “normal.” A source told the outlet that they “were ready and totally fine to go on air” by Thursday. “Their attitude seems to be that they are both separated, and now they are together,” the insider elaborated. “So there’s nothing to hide.”
