Andy Cohen retaliated against Melissa Gorga when she questioned his status as a 'therapist'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Watch What Happens Live' viewers couldn't help but notice Melissa Gorga and Andy Cohen's "testy" exchanges during her appearance on the show on April 11. Fans are now questioning her future on 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' after she called out her producer on April 11 for being too rude to her.

The TV host had been speaking with the 'RHONJ' star about how he does not expect a "resolution" between Gorga and her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, at the reality show's impending reunion. "That’s fair because you’re not a therapist, right? You’re not certified," Melissa told a very surprised Andy. "OK, well, let’s not question my credentials," Andy retorted. "I’m just saying — I don’t know, are you?" Melissa kept pressing. "No, but after 16 years of f–king doing this, I think I have some idea of what I’m doing," Andy said. The brief encounter did not go ignored, with viewers turning to Twitter to express their thoughts.

Melissa accuses Andy of being 'rough' on her

"Margaret Josephs just texted me and said you’re being very rough on me tonight," the 'RHONJ' actor stated in footage shared to the 'WWHL' Twitter handle. "'She said, ‘Oof, Andy’s killing you tonight.'”

"She texted me and said, ‘I want to explain the story about Laura to you,'" the Bravo boss said, before Melissa inquired, "Why are you being mean to me?"

Jennifer Aydin revealed in the latest episode of the hit reality series that Margaret's ex-best friend Laura — whom Melissa said tried and failed to become a Housewife multiple times — learned from Margaret that Melissa had allegedly made out with another man, which she heard from someone who claimed to have witnessed the kiss. When Andy questioned her fans why she's still friends with Margaret since Laura allegedly received the infidelity information from her, Melissa replied, "Because it's untrue!"

Aside from the adultery charges, Andy interrogated Melissa about her mother's feud with Teresa, as well as how she felt about being left out of her sister-in-law's bridal party when Jennifer A and Dolores Catania were invited to be bridesmaids.

When asked if she thought the interviewer was being unfair to her, the Envy store owner said, "I mean, no. I’m willing to answer your questions," she said before turning to her husband Joe Gorga, who was in the crowd, and asking, "Joe, am I being too hard on your wife tonight?"

"No, answer those questions," Joe encouraged the reality television star. "Come on, baby!"
