Why did Britney Spears write a book?
In February 2022, the 'Toxic' singer landed a $15 million book deal with Simon & Schuster for her autobiographical project.
"The deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas," an insider said at the time. She worked with ghostwriter Sam Lansky who is a novelist and journalist for the bombshell memoir.
"I worked my ass off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it,” the singer previously said on Instagram.
"And if you don’t like it, that’s fine too," she added.

"It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Asghari," the source told Page Six.
Gallery Books Senior Vice President and Publisher Jennifer Bergstrom previously said, "Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery."
"I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year. We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last," reported People.
Is Britney Spears' releasing her new song?
