Why does Yesung need surgery? Worried fans say ‘Super Junior with you hurt isn’t what we want’ before comeback
On Tuesday, reports surfaced about Yesung needing surgery but being hesitant as Super Junior's comeback continues to draw closer. The Super Junior idol is currently getting ready for their comeback album called 'The Renaissance' and Yesung has been working hard on the choreography among other things along with his bandmates Leeteuk, Heechul, Shindong, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun. The other members Kibum and Kangin are no longer a part of the band while Sungmin has been on a hiatus since 2015.
Speaking of surgery, recently Yesung on 'Moon Hee Jun's Music Show' revealed that he had considered going through the cosmetic journey. However, he had not revealed any serious health concerns that required surgery at that moment. Instead, he had said, "To be honest, my agency suggested I undergo double eyelid surgery in the past. They said my eyes looked arrogant."

He further added on the show, "Honestly, I wanted to undergo double eyelid surgery at the time. I wanted eyes like Heechul and Siwon's. My doctor told me that I don't have common eyes and tried to stop me. He said that my eyes could become the trend. I'm so glad I never went through with it."
Why does Yesung need surgery?
Yesung reportedly revealed on social media that he might have to go through surgery due to a disc displacement. However, the idol is currently getting ready for his comeback and might delay the surgery to ensure that the come back doesn't get delayed. The Super Junior member also informed that he would have to check with the doctor first regarding his condition to check on what needs to be done. This has worried fans who have since taken to Twitter to express their concerns.
Will Super Junior's comeback 'The Renaissance' be delayed?
If Yesung's surgery turns out to be crucial for his recovery, the comeback will have to be delayed. However, the management SM Entertainment, might not be interested in delaying the comeback, which is a worry that is on fans' minds at the moment. Hence many have taken to Twitter to say that the Super Junior comeback can wait and so can the fans.
One fan wrote, "If they already delayed the comeback four times because of the label's mismanagement, they can delay it as many times as they need for Yesung to get the surgery he needs. Another fan explained why Yesung's condition should not be taken lightly and said, "in pain anymore, then have him participate in suju activities back pain isn't a light issue, it can cause some bigger problems in the future, so please yesung do what you need to do." This user further added, "since this is blowing up i wanna explain something back problems shouldn't be taken lightly, especially it your disc is out, if you sit or stand for long it's extremely painful and now he's spending time practicing for cb, which is physically exhausting and puts pressure."

'The Renaissance' is the 10th full-length album which will also mark the comeback of the band Super Junior. It was scheduled to release on March 16, 2021. Initially, the album was expected to release in December 2020, however, it was delayed to create a more complete album. It was then expected to release in February 2021, however, it was delayed yet again to release in March. One of the songs titled 'The Melody' was pre-released on November 6, 2020.
