CLEVELAND, OHIO: Logan Paul is trying his best to convince the WWE management to let him open the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event on August 5 from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. On the most recent edition of his 'Impaulsive' podcast, Paul made the request, noting that he needed to start the event with the fight so that he may fly from Detroit to Dallas where he would accompany his brother, Jake, as he faced Nate Diaz in a boxing battle.

Paul claimed the scheduling would be tight and that he was still unsure of if he would be able to be in Dallas in time for the fight to begin. He added that it was "barely possible" for him to do so.

‘I don’t know if I’m going to make it’

“After SummerSlam, my brother who is fighting on the same night in Dallas, as soon as my match ends, I’m going to hop on a PJ [private jet], fly to Dallas in my gear, walk in the ring with my brother for his fight against Nate Diaz,” Paul said, adding, “I’m going to try to. I don’t know if I’m going to make it, but I think if I do, it’ll be minutes. Like, I walk into the venue, round one Jake Paul/Nate Diaz starts,” he added.

Paul will have to begin SummerSlam, according to Seth Rollins, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who was this week's guest on 'Impaulsive'. Paul then informed WWE about the request. “I requested the first match. We did the math, it’s barely doable,” Paul said.

Logan Paul vs Ricochet

The wrestling company as well as the WWE fans were awestruck by Paul's outstanding performance in the MITB. Paul is going to participate in the SummerSlam event, which can aid in his recovery from the severe blows he received during the ladder battle.

Attempting to do the Spanish Fly, Paul and Ricochet tumbled on a pair of tables while squabbling during the Men's MITB ladder match. Paul was horrified by Ricochet's backflip, which caused him to smack his head and damage his shoulder.

The WWE referred to the incident as a "viral moment," and it even posted a video of the two squabbling backstage. It appeared that the intention was to create anticipation for a battle between Ricochet and Paul at SummerSlam.
