Why did Twitch ban Dr Disrespect? YouTuber considers joining Kick if platform offered him massive xQc-like deal
ENCINITAS, CALIFORNIA: Dr Disrespect, known for his flaming antics and bombastic personality, was banned by Twitch in 2020 for violating the platform's terms and regulations, but the streamer maintained that he had done nothing wrong.
During his conversation with Jake Lucky in June, Kick co-founder Eddie Craven talked about the nacent streaming site's business model apart from discussing the creators that turned down joining invitations. He also expressed his desire to work with YouTube streamers like Dr Disrespect, who can be valuable to the platform.

Is Dr Disrespect joining Kick?
In his conversation with Jake Lucky, Kick co-founder Eddie Craven acknowledged having an open line communication with several well-known streamers, saying that he intends to sign more streamers but it's still unclear if Dr Disrespect is one of them.
However, Craven did accept being an avid fan of the YouTuber, making many Kick supporters hopeful to see a potential deal between Kick and Dr Disrespect.
Interestingly, After xQc's deal with Kick was announced, Dr Disrespect took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert that he would join the platform for $50 million, writing, "50 million is my number…," so the new streaming platform might need to come up with a massive amount to sign him.
xQc's $100 million deal with Kick
Back in June, one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, xQc, announced that he was joining the rival streaming platform, Kick, in a significant blow to the Amazon-owned site and a sign of its increasingly strained relationship with content creators.
According to his representative, Ryan Morrison, Felix Lengyel aka xQc, accepted a two-year deal of around $70 million contract, which amounted to about $100 million when the incentives were included.

His contract, roughly equivalent in size to the two-year extension inked by LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022, had the potential to drastically alter the economics of the online entertainment industry.
"Kick is allowing me to try and do things I haven’t been able to before," said xQc in a statement, adding, "I’m extremely excited to take this opportunity and maximize it into new creative and fresh ideas over coming years," as per The New York Times.
