A famous couple from the social media world are no longer together, breaking up after two years. Chris Olsen and Ian Paget are quite popular online and share a YouTube channel, where they keep followers updated about their lives. In July 2020, they posted their first video and it was about how they met each other.

The two also have their own Instagram accounts, which seems to have been taken down temporarily, just like their TikTok accounts. Olsen and Paget celebrated their two-year anniversary a few months ago and also shared what they did to mark the special occasion on their YouTube channel. In the description of that video, they wrote, “Hi friends!! So as many of you know we just got back from an anniversary trip in ITALY!! It was so stunning, and in this vlog we take you on one of our favorite day trips to Milan. The day was so fun and full of italian food and coffee and we already want to go back lol.”

But for the past few days, their fans noticed that something was off between them. They were not seen together and also refrained from liking and commenting on each other’s posts.

Why did Chris Olsen and Ian Paget break up? 

In a statement to E! News, Paget said, “The past couple of weeks have been difficult for Chris and me, but ultimately, he's my best friend and always will be. While we're not boyfriends anymore, we're excited to explore our new relationship moving forward. We thank everyone for their continued love and support, in a way, this is just the beginning.”

Olsen also issued a statement saying: “ll always have so much love for Ian. We've been through an incredible amount together, and we'll always be connected in a beautiful way. While we're going to take some time apart and grow as individuals—this isn't the end of our time together, but a shift. I can't wait to keep cheering him on.” Also, in a TikTok video, Chris added, “Not an end, just a shift! We love u forever.”

The news of their breakup has attracted a lot of attention online. A user tweeted, “After posting obviously rehearsed skits and playing them off as ‘real life’ on social media for 2 years…” The second one without clearly explaining much wrote, “He would go on rants about his personal space or something like that just because the other one would ask for toast or some shit like that! I think once they realize they could make money it wasn't a romantic relationship anymore and only a business relationship.” “Lol duh! Their ‘relationship’ was just there to make tiktok money! All their tts were rehearsed and faken! Idk how many fell for it without question their perfect relationship where one could go on for an hour improvised monolog,” the third user added.

A fan of Olsen and Paget said, “Anyone who followed Chris or Ian knew that something was off for weeks if not months. Sadly, I saw this coming.” Another fan shared, “I knew it when they spent Christmas separately, but I figured they'd split as soon as Chris graduated.
