EAST FLATBUSH, NEW YORK CITY: A former NYPD officer was found dead alongside her boyfriend in an apparent murder-suicide in an East Flatbush home on Friday, February 3, 2023. According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), both individuals were found with gunshot wounds after Petlyn Job, 49, killed her boyfriend Alex Delone, 52, by shooting him dead, before turning the gun on herself. The incident reportedly occurred on Beverley Road near East 48th Street at around 1:52 pm.
While Job had a gunshot wound under the jaw, Delone was shot in the head, police confirmed, according to New York Post. Delone's nephew Josue Delone, 19, said that the tragedy had broken the family. “If he had a problem or trouble anytime, he’d come through with a solution. He’d have a way to resolve it peacefully,” Josue said, adding, “I know for a fact that my uncle would never do something like that. He wouldn’t have started anything. I never heard him raise his voice at anybody.”
