Following the sermon, Osteen also tweeted, "The scripture says, “Every good gift comes from your Father in heaven above.” What He’s destined for your life is not limited by what kind of natural father you had. Your greatness comes from your Father in heaven. What He’s spoken over your life will come to pass." That set of a massive trend of Twitter users slamming Osteen, who owns lavish houses, drives fancy cars and reportedly loves to shop, making him among the richest pastors in the United States. Some of the other pastors who have made headlines in the recent past include John MacArthur, Calvin Roberson and Pat Robertson.

Who is Victoria Osteen?
Victoria Osteen was born Victoria Iloff in Huntsville, Alabama. She was raised in Houston, Texas, in a conservative Christian household, with her father serving as a deacon and her mother working as a Sunday school teacher. She attended the University of Houston to study psychology when she met Joel. She did not graduate and ended up marrying Joel in April 1987.
She is an author and co-pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. With an average of about 52,000 attendees per week plus an estimated 7M television viewers, it is one of the largest congregations in the country. In 2003, Victoria founded the Lakewood Church Women’s Ministry where she currently serves as co-pastor. She is a regular feature on the Houston radio station 89.3 KSBJ. She also supports the organizations Feed the Children and The Bridge, a shelter for battered women.
Her first book called 'Love Your Life: Living Happy, Healthy and Whole' was published on October 14, 2008, by Simon & Schuster and landed on the number 2 spot on the New York Times Bestsellers list, with 750,000 copies of the initial printing being sold.
