Approximately two months ago, Tamar Braxton's fans were worried sick as news of her suicide attempt broke. She was found in an "unresponsive" state by her boyfriend David Adefeso at the Ritz Carlton Residences in Downtown Los Angeles. Tamar recovered from that fateful incident and while the Internet raised several questions about Adefeso for quite some time after, she came through with a heartfelt thank you note dedicated to her him on her Instagram. "But know that people coming at you saying all this crazy stuff isn't easy for me. People have called you every name in the book, to deflect from what's really been going on," read a segment of the since-deleted post. "Through this entire time, you have held my hand, heard my cries, held me when I have been weak. You have had my ENTIRE back‼️" Tamar added. The two will complete two years of their relationship later this year and Adefeso will also be appearing on Tamar's new WETV series 'Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life'. Tamar met Adefeso in 2018 at the birthday party of their mutual friend. The pair hit it off really well at the event and the rest has been history. Since then the reality TV superstar & 90s songstress has found support in Adefeso both in her personal and professional space. Even though not much was known about him in the initial months, she always publically stated that her new man was self-made, and in true-Tamar style also jokingly called herself lucky to have landed a businessman as her boyfriend. Not only that, but Tamar has also declared Adefeso as her seven-year-old son Logan's "bonus dad" a couple of times, including an Instagram post.
The relationship was hush-hush initially, with a few tabloid articles here and there stating that they were a rumored couple.
