Gabriel is the winner of Miss USA 2022. According to her LinkedIn, she defines herself as Fashion Designer and Sustainable Fashion Advocate. Gabriel is a graduate of fine arts from the University of North Texas. The 28-year-old was born to a Filipino father, Remigio Bonzon R Bon Gabriel, and an American mother, Dana Walker on March 20, 1994, as per Wikipedia. Meanwhile, she began her career as a production assistant with David Peck USA and went on to become an e-commerce model with Shop Miss A. After finishing a couple of internships in the production sector, she took up the role of a sewing instructor at Magpies & Peacocks. She owns a design business which is named 'R'Bonney Nola Design.'
Her first pageantry experience was when she joined Miss Kemah USA 2020, where she made it to the Top 5. She has also competed in various pageants including Miss Texas 2021 where she finished as a runner-up. However, in 2022, she won the title of Miss Texas 2022 which led to her participating in Miss USA 2022 and eventually winning the title. She was also appreciated for her answer during the final round of Miss USA 2022. She was asked by judge Soo Yeon Lee, "Global studies indicate that women are increasingly seen as more vulnerable to the impact of climate change. You are asked to create a task force to help address this issue. What's your first priority?"
To which she responded, "Well, I think there's eight ways we can implement addressing climate change within our careers or our lifestyle. It's as easier as adding a recycle bin to your house, everybody can do that, or being creative in ways you can also implement it in your job. I am a fashion designer. I actually made the outfit I'm wearing and I upcycle pieces and recycle different clothing to be more sustainable in my industry because I feel like it's my duty. So I think that's something we can all look for in our certain industries and in our homes — to be more sustainable."
