Who is Mike Hodges' wife? 'Get Carter' and 'Flash Gordon' director dies aged 90
DORSET, ENGLAND: Mike Hodges, the British director of 'Get Carter', 'Flash Gordon' and 'Croupier' died in Dorset, England, aged 90 on Saturday, December 17. A cause of death has not been revealed.
The news of Hodges' death was announced by his longtime friend and producer of 'I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead', Mike Kaplan, according to Variety. Hodges made several British gangster crime dramas, including 'Pulp' in 1972, which was named one of the year’s 10 best films by the New York Times and Time magazine.

Not much is known about Hodges' personal life except that he is survived by his wife Carol Laws; his sons, Ben and Jake Hodges; and five grandchildren, Marlon, Honey, Orson, Michael and Gabriel.
Screenwriter Brian Lynch also announced Hodges' death, writing on Twitter, "Mike Hodges, director of FLASH GORDON, has passed. Finally saw this movie during the pandemic and it brought me such joy. Have watched it a bunch of times since. Nothing else like it. Rest in Peace, sir."

Tributes poured in on social media after the news of Hodges' death surfaced. "Flash Gordon and Get Carter were incredible films. Both classics of different genres but both quirky, high octane brilliance," one user wrote. Another said, "I recently had a rewatch of my 4K Blu-ray of #FlashGordon a week or so back. What absolutely sad news." "Did some amazing stuff. Flash is a bonkers film. Get Carter a personal fave too. RIP Mike," one user said.
