JiDion: Here's why Twitch took a year to review streamer's ban appeal
Jidon 'JiDion' Adam, a contentious streamer, received a Twitch ban on January 13, 2022, for ridiculing Pokimane's appearance. After his Twitch account was suspended, the streamer transitioned to YouTube as his primary platform, and his channel has now attracted over 7 million followers. Recently, the former Twitch streamer took to Twitter to share the status of his ban appeal.
Jidion even directed his followers to her channel to taunt her during a live stream, which resulted in her being harassed on social media. Though Pokimane appears to have forgiven JiDion, she has not ceased promoting body positivity in her live streams and YouTube videos.

Following the incident on Pokimane's Twitch streams, during which accusations of sexism were directed at JiDion, Twitch has taken measures to prevent similar hate raids from occurring. Despite deleting over 15 million bot accounts to combat the issue, JiDion and his followers' attack on Pokimane's channel highlighted that more action was needed. With the confirmation that his ban will not be overturned, it appears that Twitch is enforcing stricter rules to remove disruptive accounts.
