Who is model Jevon King, the mother of Diplo's baby?
Diplo is a third-time father. This past Sunday which also marked the occasion of Mother's Day, the DJ and record producer whose real name is Thomas Wesley, posted a Mother's Day tribute on Instagram. The post revealed that Diplo has welcomed a third boy into his life with model Jevon King. Here we try to shed more light on who the model is and how the two of them met.
Who is Jevon King
Jevon King won the coveted Miss T&T Universe 2014 title. She beat 11 other contenders for the title.
Amidst a slew of controversial questions asked in the final round, King’s articulate response to her final question won her the crown. She was asked what message she would want to tell teenaged girls who are engaging in public fights and using profanities. A confident King responded, “Violence is never the answer. Instead, focus your energy on education and pursuing your dreams.”
After news broke of the birth of their son, Pace, sources confirmed that Diplo and King first met each other in 2015 and "have been seeing each other ever since" and that they planned the pregnancy.
King announced her pregnancy last year on her personal Instagram page via a heartfelt post on her 30th birthday. "My mom would always tell me “everything will fall into place when the time is right”. Boy oh boy, it did!... I can’t wait to hold you, smell you, and be loved by you unconditionally," she wrote in the caption of the post.
Post that she continued to document her advancing pregnancy on her page. King gracefully walked the ramp for a designer, rocking her baby bump while doing so. Then there was this beautiful picture of herself from when she was 8 months pregnant. While cradling her belly with her palms, the model looked absolutely radiant in a gorgeous pink satin dress. "There is no greater warrior than a mother protecting her child," she wrote in the caption of the post.
At the end of March, Pace was born and she announced it with a post that had Pace's name with a crown atop the letter P and the date 20.03.2020 beneath it.
Diplo's Mother's Day Tribute
In a post put up on Mother's Day, he serenaded his own mother and Kathryn Lockhart who is a mother of his sons Lockett and Lazer. The first picture in the carousel post consisted of his photo as a child with his mother and the second photo saw Kathryn having Lockett and Lazer in an embrace. The third photo was of model Jevon King in a white robe cradling a baby and planting a kiss on the baby's mouth. This was the first time confirming he was the father of the child.
The same photo also made its way on King's page and later on she posted a closeup picture of the almost two-month-old, Pace, in a powder blue onesie on her page.
