Jana hinting about dating someone new
Jana has previously hinted about dating someone new on her 'Whine Down podcast'. The singer gave a direct clue that he is an athlete from Scotland. "It's just so funny how life and the world works, I never would've...four years ago to be like, Oh yeah, I'm gonna be divorced, and then I'm gonna come back here with a boyfriend who grew up here.'" In a recent episode of her podcast, she said, I've done a really good job at not introducing the kids to people. And obviously, they haven't met the new boyfriend. Having said that, the boyfriend and I are talking about future things. And in my mind, I'm like, it makes me excited... And with kids, I don't want them to be in a place where their ground is not as steady as possible. Like I want them to be so secure, solid foundation, and I'm in charge of that."
She then added, "And then always my concern — I don't care about me, my heart's been broken a million times, I can deal with another broken heart — my kids, that's a different story. They're older now, they understand more now."
Who was Jana married to before?
Jana was previously married thrice in her 39-year-old life. In 2004, she married Michael Gambino. However, this relationship did not stand the test of time and the singer got divorced from him after severe domestic abuse. It even led to Michael's conviction on attempted murder charges. About this marriage, she once said to Nightline, "I still have that fear when I’m alone, him coming to grab me and … throwing me out of bed. The verbal and mental abuse they give you is almost more painful than the physical because it tears you down even more with the words.” Though Michael was sent to jail in 2005, he died by suicide while out on parole, as per USA Magazine.
Later, she met Johnathon Schaech, during a prom night and the duo got engaged on December 22, 2009. They got married on July 4, 2010, within seven months of engagement. However, they called it quits after the 12th day of their marriage. Later, she met NFL player Mike Caussin in 2014 and got married to him in 2015. As per the USA Magazine, she once said, "When he walked on my tour bus, I was like, ‘That’s the man I’m going to marry.'" In 2019, the singer spoke about Caussin's sex addiction and sobriety journey on her podcast. He also had a history of cheating on her. Jana and Caussin share a daughter Jolie and a son Jace. During a brief break in their relationship, Caussin stated, “I acknowledge that certain actions and behaviors have caused issues in my marriage and I am deeply sorry for the pain I have caused Jana. I have and will continue to take the steps needed to change who I am as a person in order to be a better husband and father.” The duo got divorced in 2021.
After Jana got divorced, she wrote on her Instagram handle, "'It's time. As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality. I've fought y'all. I've loved hard. I've forgiven. I've put the work in. I've given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give. 'It's time.'" Further, she added, "Please know that I still believe whole heartedly in marriage, love, and rebuilding.I just can't fight any longer. It's time to heal. Thank you for all the love, heart, and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that am grateful.I'll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can't fight it alone."
