LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Devon Sutterfield impressed with his acoustic guitar and beautiful voice during his Blind Audition! Despite his growl, some believe a poor song choice lost him his position on 'The Voice' Season 24.

Devon, a family man from Missouri, took advantage of the opportunity to finally pursue his musical love. He believed his audition for 'Cry to Me' would impress a coach, preferably Dan + Shay.

On X, fans recalled, "He chose the wrong song and he sounded bad." Another person noted, "Devon Sutterfield on guitar, nice groove, the crowd was into it. He had a good soft touch but also a decent rough side but no coaches turned."

However, some had other criticism too, writing, "Sometimes I'll see contestants on #TheVoice and they give off, "I'm an as*hole" vibes. And no amount of editing fixes it." A fourth user sighed, "His diction.."

One user also felt, he should try next season instead, writing, "Devon Sutterfield should come back."

Why did no one turn for Devon Sutterfield on 'The Voice' Season 25?

When none of the coaches turned their chairs near the conclusion, Reba McEntire told him that she was seeking "a little more emotion," Dan Smyers remarked that it was difficult for him to "gain momentum" in a challenging song, and Shay Mooney added that it was difficult to hear his point of view. John Legend believes he should try something "more mellow" if he tries out again.

John urged Devon to try again with a ballad. "He just wasn't being himself enough," Chance the Rapper told the other coaches as Devon exited the stage.
