LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Connor Sturgeon, the 25-year-old mass shooter who shot dead five and injured several others at the Old National Bank before dying in a confrontation with police, seemed to lead a normal life with family and friends. Pictures of him posted on his mother Lisa Sturgeon's Facebook account shows Connor pictured as an infant, with his basketball team from high school, with his brother and many others, that looked seemingly normal. 

Following the Louisville mass shooting, the internet has been abuzz with speculations about his personal life. In particular, many people are curious about whether or not Connor had a girlfriend. This speculation arose after pictures posted on his mother's Facebook account showed him dressed for prom with a date, which led to questions about his romantic life.

'Apparently he had a girlfriend'

Many people are scouring his social media profiles and online presence to learn more about him. People on Twitter have been speculating about a significant other. One user tweeted, "Listened to the 911 call from Connor Sturgeon (Louisville shooter)'s mom. Apparently he had a girlfriend," while another said, "I find it hard to believe there are no tweets about 'connor sturgeon's girlfriend'. Is @elonmusk and twitter stopping people from discussing the atrocities?" A third quoted Connor's dad, saying, "Todd Sturgeon, father of Old National Bank shooter Connor Sturgeon: 'As we search for answers to explain what would make a National Merit Scholar with a great job, a loving girlfriend do unspeakable things-we have had those same thoughts regarding CTE and tests are in progress'." 

The mass shooting at Old National Bank

On Monday, April 10, 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon entered the Old National Bank on East Main Street in Louisville, carrying a legally purchased AR-15. He then proceeded to shoot and kill five senior executives while injuring eight others. The attack lasted for six minutes, during which police arrived on the scene and attempted to enter the building. Gunshots could be heard throughout the area. During the confrontation, Sturgeon fatally shot one officer in the head before being killed himself. However, whether or not Connor had a girlfriend at the time of the shooting or in the past remains unknown. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities are still trying to piece together the motive behind his heinous actions.
