Who is Dan Smyer's wife Abby Law Smyers?

Dan and Abby have been married since 2017, six months after he put a ring on her finger at the Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. Abby had in fact asked Dan about his plans for proposing to her after everyone began asking them about their wedding plans as Shay and Hannah got engaged. In a chat with Taste of Country, Dan admitted to having been swarmed by the question from all quarters including Abby. “Everyone. Everyone. Especially her. It’ll happen. It’s only a matter of time," he had said at the time.

The couple met in 2013 at an animal rescue center and Nashville is where their love story blossomed. The couple has a lot in common, the biggest similarities that tie the two include their love for dogs, vegetarian food and devotion towards dog-rescuing. The couple has three dogs together and in addition, they also foster puppies regularly.

Abby quit her stable job when Dan was about to break out on the music scene. Explaining her decision in the caption of an Instagram post, she wrote, "This photo is a photo of two kids over five years ago who decided to go on a crazy adventure together. I quit my stable job… We had no idea where life would take us but we surely knew we loved each other and we wanted to do it together.”

Abby is also a brand ambassador and a social media influencer. She has close to 63,000 fans on Instagram and shares brand content to her page when she's not posting photos with her dogs, fosters and Dan. Another fact about Abby is that she's very good friends with Shay Mooney's wife Hannah Billingsley.

Who is Hannah Billingsley?

Hannah Billingsley and Shay Mooney have been married since October 2017. The couple first met in March 2015 after chatting on and off for a couple of years. In March 2015, Billingsley asked Shay if he was ever going to be performing in Arkansas and as fate might have it, he was there four days later playing in her town. That's where they met in person and Shay asked Hannah if she would like to attend the ACM Awards with him. She agreed and the rest is history.

A year and a half later, Shay made plans for a special dinner for the two in town. In a chat with Brides, she revealed, "When we got there, he told me he’d gotten the time wrong, so we drove around to kill some time." Billingsley had noticed they were driving farther and farther from town as they went. “I suspected a proposal was coming, and let Shay take me wherever he was going". As they turned onto a tree-lined drive, Shay’s song 'From the Ground Up' played on the radio and the couple started to cry. “We finally arrived at a stunning stone chapel, where candles glowed in the windows,” she said. “It looked like a fairytale, and that’s where Shay proposed.” But that wasn’t his only surprise: their families and friends were waiting inside!"

Before they got married, they experienced a small bump in the road, quite literally. The pair discovered they were pregnant and even though they were excited, Hannah had a small freakout because of their conservative upbringing. “Growing up as we both did, in conservative small towns with traditional parents, we were terrified to confess our new status as parents-to-be,” she said. “However, despite the stress and the surprise of the situation, babies are blessings and we knew this child would be SO loved by all.” They welcomed son Asher James Mooney on January 24, 2017, and in October of the same year, they tied the knot at the Mooney family farm in Arkansas followed by a Cancun getaway. They welcomed their second son Ames Alexander, on February 21, 2020.

Billingsley has a pageant background, she won the title of Miss Arkansas in 2013 and used income from raising a small herd of cattle to put herself through school and used to knit hats for children in the hospital. She continues to work for multiple charitable organizations and causes even today and has raised a considerable amount of money for them.
