Whitney Wolfe and Michael Herd's love story
Unlike the popular assumption, Whitney Wolfe did not meet her future husband through her dating app Bumble. Rather, the couple had quite an interesting and romantic first meeting.
They met each other in 2013 in Aspen where both had gone on skiing trips separately, a little before Christmas. In a heartwarming interview with Vogue, Wolfe Herd revealed that she saw Michael for the first time while enjoying a long lunch. She approached him and gave him 'a hard time' for wasting such perfect weather for skiing.
Michael then told her that he did not know how to ski, which left Whitney baffled and she wondered why would someone without the knowledge of skiing come on a ski vacation. Next, Michael suggested that Whitney teach him how to ski. However, on the hill, Michael proved that he was indeed a pro skier and surprised Whitney with his skills. The couple started dating on Valentine's Day, after more than a month of conversations on the phone.
Michael proposed her two years later in June during a trail horseback ride at his family's ranch in Texas. The couple got married in a beautiful, fairytale ceremony in September 2017 in Italy.
