Released in 1990, the movie also had a sequel, 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,' released in 1992. The beloved film, starring Macaulay Culkin in the lead, continues to grab headlines thanks to its feel-good storyline and powerful nostalgia factor. So, if you're planning a 'Home Alone' rewatch this holiday season, here's how you can stream the classic.
'Home Alone' is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+ for subscribers and can also be rented or purchased on Apple TV, Prime Video, and YouTube, as per Just Jared. Subscribers can choose from standalone Hulu plans, Hulu + Live TV, or bundle options that include Disney+ and ESPN, with prices varying depending on whether ads are included, as per Hulu.

Talking about a possible movie in the franchise, Culkin revealed during his 'A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin' tour that he "wouldn't be completely allergic" to returning as Kevin McCallister in a 'Home Alone' sequel but added, "It would have to be just right." He also shared a pitch for the film, saying, "I kind of had this idea. I'm either a widower or a divorcee. I'm raising a kid and all that stuff. I'm working really hard and I'm not really paying enough attention and the kid is kind of getting miffed at me and then I get locked out. [Kevin’s son] won't let me in… and he's the one setting traps for me," as per Variety.
Culkin further explains, "The house is some sort of metaphor for our relationship," and his character must "get let back into [his] son's heart… I'm not completely allergic to it, the right thing." However, the director, Chris Columbus, is not in favour of another 'Home Alone' movie as he told Entertainment Tonight, "I think 'Home Alone' really exists as, not at this timepiece, but it was this very special moment, and you can't really recapture that. I think it's a mistake to try to go back and recapture something we did 35 years ago. I think it should be left alone."
