LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Morning shows can often be a great way to start the day along with your coffee and breakfast. It becomes a ritual and soon, the hosts become familiar faces you look forward to seeing every morning on TV while getting to knmow the news.

In this context, it has been quite the struggle for 'CBS' fans to not see one of their favorite hosts, Tony Dokoupil, on the morning show the past week. The host has been away all of last week and Natalie Morales has been filling for him.

Where is Tony Dokoupil?

No official statement was made by the host of the network about his extended absence from the show. It was through his Instagram account that it was confirmed that Dokoupil was on a family vacation. In his post, he was seen kissing his wife, Kate Tur, who is an NBC News correspondent.

In another post made by the CBS host, he shared a video of him showing off his cooking skills while Tur provided her commentary while shooting the video. The caption of the post said, "@katyturnbc is “SHOCKED” at my kitchen skills. But she shouldn’t be. For an upcoming “Dish” piece on @cbsmornings, I got some tahdig tips from the great Nasim Alikhani, chef of @sofreh_brooklyn and author of the new Sofreh cookbook. #persianfood" It is still unclear where the host and his family went away for the summer or if they had already returned and were getting some much-needed rest after the vacation.

Natalie Morales says they miss Tony Dokoupil

The post's caption said, "Love being back in NYC with this gang @cbsmornings @gayleking @nateburleson .. and missing you @tonydokoupil but hope you are enjoying vacay!" Morales is a big name herself in the world of talk shows and TV. She previously hosted the 'Today' show and was also part of NBC's 'Dateline'.
