Where is Sara Celeste Otero? California woman, 28, goes missing after she left for gym
The family of a missing California woman is desperately urging the public to help find her. Sara Celeste Otero, 28, was last seen on January 28 around 8:40 a.m. at the 1200 block of Alderney Court, Oceanside, roughly 40 miles north of San Diego, Oceanside Police said. She had stepped out of her house and told her stepfather that she was heading to the gym 10 days ago. Her phone has been off ever since.
"We've got very little details," Fox News quoted Otero’s step-brother, Ryan Bear, as saying. "And that's the entire reason that we're trying to ask the public for any and all information at this point, because we don't know anything." Although Otero said she was heading to the gym, she never did reach. The friend she said she was meeting said that she had no idea about her plans to go to the gym, said her stepsister, identified only as Chelsea.

Otero's boyfriend, whom she’s only met over Zoom amid the ongoing pandemic, was reportedly at his job the morning she disappeared. They had been dating only for some time. The family said that they do not believe there is any foul play involved on her boyfriend's part, who is “devastated".
Otero's siblings said that she has a history of drug abuse. However, she has been sober for two years. “She’s grappling with a lot, she shared that she was feeling depressed…it’s affected [her and her boyfriend’s] relationship,” Chelsea said. Her family is afraid she may have harmed herself.
Police said that Otero is 5’6″, 130 pounds with blue eyes and long brown hair. She wears glasses. Otero has a number of tattoos, including a flower tattoo on her arm, and one that reads “It’s in our nature” on her right bicep. She also has a Winnie the Pooh tattoo on her ankle. She was reportedly last seen wearing a green military-style jacket and bronze-colored leggings, and could possibly be traveling in a gray Subaru Outback with a California license plate 7GAB955. Many took to social media to spread awareness of her disappearance in an attempt to help locate her.
